I don't want to leave! It's too nice here!
We are looking to sail off tonight. It is a day and a half trip to the next island (Fatu Hiva), and we would rather arrive in the morning than at night, so leaving in the evening should put us there at the crack of dawn.
We are debating whether or not to stop at one of the Tuomotus while sailing through them to Tahiti. They are very low-lying atolls with poor visibility and are surrounded by coral, shoals, and strong rip tides. Also, we want to be in Tahiti in 10 days if possible.
We have a busy day of finishing provisioning and clearing-in to French Polynesia before heading off tonight. It is nice that once you clear in on one island, you are set for all of French Polynesia, and therefore can just drop anchor where ever without any hassle.
