NARC Rally 2012, Day 7: Hurricane Aftermath & Castle Pizza Party

The hurricane has now passed. We are looking at possibly a Thursday morning departure now to give the seas some time to calm down a bit.

Walking around town, you can see everyone cleaning up all the damage and debris. It's not the "pretty little town" that it was a few days ago. I have heard that some other cities got hit much harder than we did. New Jersey supposedly experience 26 foot waves. The wind was coming off the land in Newport, so waves weren't too much of an issue for us.

Peter has invited us to his castle for a pizza party tonight. He lives in a castle that has been sectioned into condos not far from the marina.

**Update**

The castle pizza party was a lot of fun. I thought it was an exaggeration, but Peter literally lives in a castle. He has a gargoyle in his kitchen.

I told Ron to look like a King in a throne.

We spent the evening hanging out in the Beneteau 54' docked beside us. This beast had a good 5 or 6 foot extra beam (width) on us. It was very roomy.
